16kg weight reduction on the GR Yaris

Toyota Gazoo Racing has been absolutely on fire recently with the release of numerous interesting and driver-focused sports cars. Like many of you, we are absolutely in love with the GR Yaris. It’s been built with passion and a true homologation special for motorsport. It’s got that fizzy 1.6L turbo-charged 3-cylinder engine making up 268hp and 370NM of torque, plus a wide and muscular stance. It sure has presence on the road and track. 

They’ve managed to keep the curb weight down to 1280kgs which is relatively low by modern-day standards. This is where we come in. We’ve designed the Touge 500 and MAX as plug-and-play drop-in lightweight lithium battery options for the GR Yaris. Both batteries utilise all the current battery mounting points in boot of the vehicle which means zero modifications are required.

Our Touge 500 battery is 16kgs lighter than the OEM battery and has the same daily and on-road usability as the OEM unit.  Pound (lbs) for Pound ($) there is no cheaper weight reduction option on the market. Enjoy some customer photos below.
